Self-Care & Seasonal Depression

If you are a tennis player, chances are you have had a throbbing or intense pain in your elbow after practice or a particularly hard match. However, you can develop a similar issue by not even playing tennis! Tennis elbow pains occur from the repetitive motion of your moving arm. That constant flexing of muscles puts a lot of strain on the same muscle group over and over. This then results in strain injuries, numbness, difficulty gripping, or loss of strength. But there is no need to worry if you are having symptoms of tennis elbow (or even golfer’s elbow) because chiropractic care can help you find elbow pain relief.
There are chiropractic treatments designed to help with tennis elbow pains. Most of the time, the treatment is similar between patients but certain cases will require particular adjustments depending on how the therapy should progress. Usually, treatment begins by finding and adjusting any bones or joints that are not aligned correctly. This will both help with some elbow pain relief, but it will also allow for more blood flow in those aching areas. Oftentimes we will also use a massage process in order to relax those tense muscles and help to reset the stress inside of the arm. Lastly, once there has been a significant pain reduction, there is a comprehensive list of therapies that should be completed outside of the office. Completing these tasks when prompted will help to prevent pain and reduce any breakthrough pains that do occur.
When going it alone, it can be difficult to fix tennis elbow. Usually, it involves a series of compression straps and ice packs. And while that stuff does help mitigate pain, chiropractic is one of the only sure ways to find real and lasting relief.
